Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and keeps it in place inside the iPad. When it is broken, bent or no longer inserts properly, the SIM card is no longer detected or the device refuses to read it. This compatible part for iPad 9 (2021) replaces the damaged tray so you regain a working SIM slot.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and remove the SIM card with the ejection tool. Work on a flat, clean surface and avoid excessive heat, especially when removing the front casing. Use a non-metallic tool so you do not scratch the housing. Also discharge your static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the internal components.
After fitting, check that the tray slides without forcing and closes flush with the frame. Put the SIM card back, switch the iPad on and confirm that the network is detected. If the tray remains hard to insert, stop and recheck the alignment rather than forcing it.
