Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and slides into the side of the tablet. This compatible part for iPad Mini 4 (2015) lets you replace a tray that is damaged, bent or no longer ejects properly. It restores a clean closure and a firm hold for the SIM card, which fixes the most common faults: a tray that is stuck, partly jammed, won't stay in place or lets dust in.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and remove the SIM card and the current tray. Work on a flat surface, protected from static electricity, and use a suitable ejection tool so you don't force the chassis. Note the orientation of the tray before removing it, so you don't fit it the wrong way round.
Once the part is fitted, check that it slides without resistance and locks properly into its slot. Put the SIM card back, switch the device on and check that the network is detected. If the current part showed a seal fault, clean the slot before fitting. Do not drill or bend any component of the tablet.
