Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and slides into the side of the phone. It lets you insert or remove the card without opening the device. This compatible part fits the iPhone 11 Pro Max, references A2218, A2161 and A2220. It is used to replace a tray that is broken, bent or no longer closes properly, as well as a tray that has been lost or damaged in an accident.
Before you start, switch off the phone and use the SIM ejector tool to remove the old tray. Check the reference of your model to make sure it is compatible. Work on a flat, clean surface and avoid excessive heat. Also protect your components from static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the part.
After fitting, insert the SIM card, turn the phone back on and check that the tray closes without play or resistance. Make sure the network is detected. If in doubt, stop and check the positioning before forcing anything.
