Description
The SIM tray is the small metal part that holds the SIM card and, in some cases, the memory card. It slides into the side of the device and must sit firmly in place so the phone can recognise the card and connect to the network. This compatible iPhone 16 SIM tray replaces the existing part when it is broken, bent, stuck or no longer ejects properly.
Before you start, switch off the iPhone and remove the SIM card. Use the right ejection tool to release the old tray without forcing it, then compare the two parts for shape and cut-outs. Handle the component carefully, avoid static discharge, and work on a clean, non-metallic surface.
After fitting, check that the tray slides smoothly, stays fully pushed in and does not protrude from the chassis. Switch the device back on, reinsert the SIM card and check network reception. If anything seems wrong, stop and go back to the beginning of the steps.
