Description
The SIM tray is the small metal part that holds the SIM card and lets you insert or remove it from the phone. On an iPhone 16 Pro Max, it can wear down, crack or jam, which stops the card from sitting properly or makes it hard to eject. This compatible tray is designed to replace the current part when it is damaged.
Before you start, switch your device off completely and disconnect it from any power source. Use a suitable ejector needle and work gently so you do not force the mechanism. Protect your work surface and avoid electrostatic discharge by regularly touching an earthed metal surface. Do not bend the components and never puncture the lithium battery located nearby.
Once the tray is replaced, check that it slides without resistance and that the SIM card is held securely. Restart the device and check network detection before closing the casing. If the battery is swollen, stop using the phone.
