Description
The SIM tray is the small metal piece that holds the SIM card and slides it into the phone. Over time it can bend, crack or no longer lock the card properly, causing network loss or a tray that no longer ejects. This compatible iPhone 4 SIM tray lets you replace the current part when it is damaged.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and remove the case. Use the SIM ejector tool to take out the old tray, then compare it with the new one to check the dimensions and the position of the notches. Work on a clean, flat surface and avoid any sudden movements so you do not damage the chassis. Pay particular attention to static electricity, which can affect the internal components.
Once the tray is fitted, insert the SIM card, turn the phone back on and check that the network is detected. Also make sure the tray slides in without forcing and that the card stays firmly in place. If the battery swells or overheats abnormally, stop using the device.
