Description
The SIM tray is the small metal part that holds the SIM card and slides into the side of the iPhone 5C. It lets you insert or remove the card without opening the phone. When it is bent, broken or worn, the SIM card no longer sits properly, the phone stops detecting the network, or the tray stays stuck.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It follows the format of the original part for a simple replacement. Before you start, switch the phone off, place it on a clean surface and use the supplied ejector tool or an unbent paper clip. Work without forcing anything and keep the SIM card aside during the operation.
Once the new tray is installed, insert the SIM card and turn the device back on. Check that it detects the network and that the tray slides in and out without resistance. If the phone stays blocked or does not recognise the card, stop and check the positioning again.
