Description
The SIM tray is the small metal part that holds the SIM card and keeps it in place inside the phone. When it is damaged, bent or worn, the card may connect poorly, no longer be detected or come out of its slot with difficulty. This compatible SIM tray for iPhone 6 lets you replace the existing part when it shows these problems.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and remove the SIM card. Work on a clean, flat surface with a suitable ejection tool. Avoid excessive force on the slot and do not try to force a stuck tray: a part that is not properly seated can damage the logic board. Disconnect the battery before any work on the ribbon cables, and protect yourself against static electricity by avoiding working on a synthetic carpet.
Once the assembly is complete, check that the tray slides without play and that the SIM card is detected after restarting. Test calls, message reception and mobile data before closing the casing for good. If you are unsure about the alignment, redo the fitting rather than forcing it.
