Description
The SIM tray is the small metal part that holds the SIM card and keeps it in place inside the phone. This compatible iPhone 7 version replaces the current tray when it is broken, bent, stuck or no longer closes properly. It restores a securely fixed SIM slot and keeps the card in contact with the connectors.
Before fitting, switch off the device and remove the SIM card. Use the ejector tool or a paperclip to pull out the old tray, then compare it with the new part to check the shape and markings. Work on a clean surface and protect the screen, as static electricity and sudden movements can damage the internal components.
After installation, insert the SIM card, check that the tray clicks into place without forcing it and that the device detects the network. If the tray is too loose or catches, stop and check the alignment before continuing. Never use a pointed tool to force the slot.
