Description
The SIM tray is the small metal part that holds the SIM card and slides it into the phone. On an iPhone 7 Plus, it can break, bend or jam, making the SIM card impossible to insert or remove. This compatible tray replaces the current part when it is damaged.
This part is a third-party, compatible component: it is not supplied by Apple. It was chosen to offer an affordable repair solution. Before you start, switch off the iPhone, remove the SIM card and avoid any sudden movements. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a suitable tool to open the tray housing.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in and locks without forcing it, then test network reception with the SIM card. If the tray rubs or does not line up, remove it and start the installation again rather than forcing it.
