Description
The SIM tray is the small holder that takes the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into the side of the phone and lets you insert or remove the card without opening the device. This part is compatible with the iPhone 8 Plus and replaces a damaged tray. It fixes common faults: a broken, bent or jammed tray that no longer opens, a SIM card that won't stay in place, or no network caused by incorrect positioning.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and use a suitable ejector tool. Never force the tray and work on a flat, clean surface with good lighting. Discharge static electricity by touching a metal object before handling the part, and keep it away from moisture.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in without play and that the SIM card is properly seated. Switch the phone back on, then check the card detection and the network connection. If the tray is hard to insert, stop and re-examine the fitting rather than forcing it.
