Description
The SIM tray is the small holder that takes the SIM card and, depending on the model, the microSD card. It slides into the side slot of the device and lets you insert or remove the card without opening the casing. This part, compatible with the K40 (2019) model, replaces a damaged tray.
It fixes the most common faults: tray that no longer ejects, SIM card not detected, broken or bent tray, or slot that no longer closes properly. Before you start, switch the device off completely and remove the cover. Work on a clean surface and use a suitable ejection tool, without forcing it. Avoid excessive heat and discharge static electricity by touching a metal surface.
After fitting, check that the tray inserts and locks in place effortlessly. Put a SIM card back in, restart the device and check that it is properly recognised. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not puncture, bend or fold it. Never attempt to repair a lithium battery yourself.
