Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the memory card, and slides into its slot on the side of the phone. This compatible part is designed to replace the tray of the M21 (M215 / 2020) when it is broken, cracked, deformed or no longer clicks into place properly. When the tray is damaged, the SIM card may not be recognised, may shift or may get stuck halfway, and proper contact with the card is no longer ensured.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the case. Use an ejector pin or a paper clip to open the current tray, keeping the phone flat and pressing gently. Keep your SIM card in a safe place. Compare the supplied tray with the old one to check the shape and position of the notches before fitting it. Avoid forcing it: a misaligned part can damage the frame.
Once the tray is installed, put the SIM card back, switch the device on and check that the network is detected. Slide the tray in and out several times to make sure it moves without excessive play. Handling it too roughly or a SIM card placed incorrectly may cause it to break again.
