Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the microSD card. It slots into the side of the phone and lets you change cards without opening the device. When it is broken, bent, or no longer clicks into place properly, the card may no longer be recognised or the tray may get stuck. This compatible tray replaces the current part for the Huawei Mate 10 Lite (2017).
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and insert the ejector tool into the small hole in the tray to pull it out. Remove the SIM card and the microSD card. Place the phone on a flat, clean surface, away from static electricity. When refitting, slide the new tray into its slot without forcing it and check that it sits flush with the frame.
After fitting, switch the phone on and check that the SIM card is detected, then test calls and mobile data. If the tray is slightly loose or sticks out, adjust it before closing the device for good. Never bend the tray and do not force it if it resists.
