Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into the side slot of the phone. When it is damaged, bent or broken, the card may not sit properly, the phone may no longer detect it, or the tray may refuse to insert correctly.
This compatible SIM tray is intended for the Xiaomi Mi 8. It is a third-party part, offered as an affordable solution to replace a damaged tray. Before fitting, switch off the phone, remove the case and use the ejection tool to take out the old tray without forcing it. Work in a clean place and avoid static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
After replacement, insert a SIM card, check that it is correctly positioned and that the tray slides without excessive play, then switch the device back on to check network detection.
