Description

The SIM tray is the small component that holds the SIM card and, sometimes, a microSD card. On the Mi Mix 2, it slides into the side of the phone, letting you insert or remove the card without opening the device. When it is broken, bent or worn, the card may no longer be recognised, the tray may stick, or the phone may lose signal.

This compatible part replaces the damaged tray. It is manufactured by a third party and designed to fit the Mi Mix 2 model. Before you start, switch off the phone, remove the SIM card and keep the ejection tool to hand. Work on a flat, clean surface with good lighting. Avoid applying excessive pressure and never force the tray.

After fitting, check that the tray slides smoothly and locks properly into its housing. Reinsert the SIM card, switch the phone back on and check network reception. If the tray is misaligned, refit it rather than forcing it.
