Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and microSD card and slides into the side of the phone. When it is broken, bent or no longer clicks into place properly, the card may not be recognised, may come loose, or may stop the phone from closing properly. This compatible tray for Nexus 6 lets you replace the existing part without touching the rest of the device.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and remove the SIM card. Use the ejector tool supplied with the device or a fine needle, pressing straight to avoid forcing anything. Check that the new tray slides in without jamming, then put the SIM card back and confirm it is detected when the phone starts up.
Be careful of static electricity by working on a clean surface and, if possible, touching a metal earth before handling the components. Never force the tray into place and avoid excessive heat while handling it.
