Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into a slot on the side of the phone. When it is damaged, bent or broken, the card no longer sits properly, the phone sometimes fails to recognise it, or the tray will not click into place. This compatible tray is designed for the Note 60 and replaces the current part when it is damaged.
Before you start, switch the phone off and prepare an ejector tool such as a pin. Insert it gently into the small hole beside the tray, without forcing it, then pull the tray out carefully. To fit, place the new part the right way round, check its alignment with the frame, then push it fully home. Avoid static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
After fitting, check that the tray slides without resistance and stays firmly closed. Insert the SIM card, then switch the phone back on to check network detection. If the problem persists, first check the position of the tray before concluding there is another fault.
