Description
The SIM tray is the small holder that takes the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It is pulled out of the device through its dedicated opening and slotted back in once the card is inserted. This part, compatible with the One M10, lets you replace a tray that is broken, bent or no longer locks properly.
The most common faults are a tray that no longer slides in, gets stuck, lets dust in or no longer recognises the SIM card. Before you start, switch the phone off, disconnect the battery if your model allows it, and work on a clean, flat surface. Avoid excessive force and limit static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in without play, that the SIM card is held securely and that the device detects the network. If the part seems poorly fitted, do not force it. Keep the opening tool to hand and avoid excessive heat while handling.
