Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the microSD card. It fits into the phone's chassis and lets you remove and reinsert it without opening the device. This compatible part is designed for the OnePlus 12R. It replaces a damaged tray, in particular when it is bent, cracked, stuck in its slot, or when the device no longer detects the SIM card.
Before you start, switch off the smartphone completely and use the SIM ejector tool to remove the old tray. Work on a flat, clean surface and avoid forcing the tray if it resists. To reduce risks, discharge static electricity by touching a metal object before handling the components. If you need to work near the battery, disconnect it before any operation on the ribbon cables.
Once the tray is installed, check that it clicks properly into the chassis without excessive play, then switch the device back on and check the detection of the SIM card and the network. If the phone shows abnormal behaviour, do not force the repair and check the current part and its connections.
