Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card, and slides into the side of the device. When it is broken, bent or worn, the card no longer sits properly, the device no longer detects it, or the tray refuses to close fully. This compatible tray for OnePlus 2 replaces the current part and restores normal operation of the SIM slot.
Before you begin, switch off the smartphone completely and work on a clean, flat surface. Use a suitable ejection tool to remove the old tray, without forcing it and without bending the holder. Remember to discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling electronic components.
Once the tray is fitted, check that it slides in without resistance and stays properly aligned with the chassis. Insert your SIM card, switch the device back on and check that the network is detected. If the problem persists, refit the tray and check the alignment before doing anything else.
