Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card. It slides into the side of the phone and must sit firmly in place for the card to be recognised. When it is bent, broken or loose, the phone may stop detecting the card, show a SIM error message or lose network connection intermittently. This SIM tray compatible with OnePlus 3 lets you replace the current part without touching the rest of the device.
Before you start, switch the phone off and remove the case. Use the SIM ejector tool or a paperclip to pull out the old tray, then take out the card so it does not get bent. Check that the new part fits without forcing it and stays properly aligned with the chassis. Never force the mechanism, and keep heat moderate if you use a heating tool to loosen a neighbouring component.
Once the tray is refitted, turn the device on and check that the SIM card is recognised, that the network shows correctly and that the microSD card, if fitted, is detected. Make a few test calls to confirm the connection is stable.
