Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card. It slides into the side slot of the phone and lets you insert or remove your cards without opening the device. When it is broken, bent or worn, the card no longer sits properly, the phone fails to detect it, or the tray stays stuck in its housing.
This tray, compatible with the OnePlus 7, replaces the current part when it is damaged. To fit it, switch off the phone, remove the SIM card, then use a fine needle to release the old tray. Before you start, place the device on a flat, clean surface and avoid any excessive heat. Also remember to discharge static electricity by touching a metal surface.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in without forcing and stays properly aligned with the chassis. Put your SIM card back, switch the phone on and check that the network and data work correctly. If the tray still moves or does not close properly, stop and adjust it again before forcing anything.
