Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the microSD card. It slides into a slot on the side of the phone. When it is damaged, bent or broken, the card no longer stays in place, the phone does not detect it, or the tray refuses to insert properly.

Before starting, switch the smartphone off completely and use a suitable ejector tool to remove the old tray without forcing it. Work on a clean surface, protected from static electricity.
After fitting, insert the empty tray then the tray with a SIM card to check that it slides smoothly and that the card is recognised. Check that the phone switches on and that the network is detected before closing the casing completely. If the tray is forced, do not push harder; check its alignment.
