Description
This compatible SIM tray replaces the physical holder that receives the SIM card on the OnePlus 8 Pro. It is used to insert and hold the SIM card and to make the mechanical connection with the device's slot. It is usually the cause when the tray is broken, bent, loose or no longer ejects properly, which prevents the SIM card from being detected or makes it hard to remove.
Before you begin, power off the phone completely and remove the protective case. Use a suitable ejection tool and do not press too hard so as not to damage the chassis. Protect yourself from static electricity by avoiding working on a mat or synthetic surface, and keep the temperature around the device moderate. If the battery is swollen, do not use the phone and do not try to open it.
Once the new tray is fitted, insert the SIM card, power the phone back on and check that the card is recognised. Also check that the tray ejects and closes without forcing, and that the seal stays in place. Take the time to check each point before refitting the case.
