Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card, and slides into the side of the device. This compatible model is designed for the P Smart (2019). It is used to replace a tray that is broken, bent, no longer ejects or no longer sits properly in place. Such a fault often prevents the SIM card from being inserted or removed safely, and can also let dust or moisture get inside the device.
Before you start, switch off the smartphone completely and remove the case. Locate the small opening of the current tray and use a pin or SIM ejector tool to pull it out gently. Compare the new tray with the existing part: the shape, the notch and the thickness must match. Avoid forcing anything, keep the device away from heat sources and static electricity, and work on a clean surface.
Once the tray is back in place, check that it slides in without play or resistance, then reinsert the SIM card and test reception and calls. If anything seems abnormal, stop rather than forcing it.
