Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, on some models, the microSD card. It slides into the side slot of the phone. When it is broken, bent or no longer opens, the card no longer stays in place, or the phone no longer detects the network. This tray, compatible with the Huawei P20 Lite (2018), lets you replace the current part without touching the rest of the device.
This part is made by a third-party manufacturer, so it is compatible with the model and not identical to the original. Before fitting, switch off the phone and remove the SIM card and the microSD card to avoid losing them. Work on a flat, clean surface, away from static electricity. Compare the new tray with the current part to check the shape and orientation before inserting it.
After reassembly, insert a SIM card into the new tray, then check that it slides without forcing and stays firmly in place. Switch the device back on and check that the network is detected. If the tray resists, do not force it: gently realign it.
