Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card, then slides into the slot on the side of the phone. This compatible tray is designed to replace the current part of the Phoenix Plus when it is broken, bent or no longer locks properly.
The most common faults are a tray that no longer ejects, that sits crooked, that leaves the SIM card poorly positioned or that no longer makes contact. This type of problem often stops the phone from detecting the network. Before you start, switch the device off, remove the case if necessary and prepare an ejection pin and a small clean surface so that no parts get lost.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in without forcing and sits flush with the chassis. Insert the SIM card, switch the phone back on and check that the network is detected. Avoid applying excessive pressure to the tray and handle the components away from static electricity.
