Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and keeps it in place inside the phone. When it is broken, bent or worn, the card may not seat properly, may no longer be detected or may slide out of its slot. This compatible tray is designed to replace the current part of the Google Pixel 2 XL and restore a clean slot for your SIM card.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and remove the SIM card. Use a pin or a suitable ejection tool to pull out the tray without forcing it. Compare the shape and notches of the new tray with the current part before inserting it. Avoid electrostatic discharge by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components. Never force the slot.
Once the tray is refitted, check that it slides without excessive play and that the SIM card locks in place correctly. Switch the phone back on and check network detection. If you are unsure about the fitting, stop rather than force it.
