Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, on some models, the memory card. It slides into a side slot on the phone and should fit in without forcing. This compatible part replaces the Pixel 3 XL tray when it is broken, bent, stuck or no longer recognises the SIM card.
Before you start, switch off the device and remove the existing tray using an ejection tool. Take care not to damage the seal around the slot. Compare the new part with the old one to check shape and dimensions before fitting it, as a part that does not match can jam the mechanism.
After replacement, insert a SIM card and check that the tray slides smoothly and that the network is detected. Avoid applying excessive pressure to the tray and work in a clean place, away from static electricity.
