Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and slides it into the phone. On a Pixel 3a, it can become damaged, bent or jammed, which stops the card being read or makes it hard to remove. This compatible part replaces the current one to restore clean access to the SIM card.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the ejector or a paperclip from the tray. Work on a flat, clean surface and avoid excessive heat during handling. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not try to open it. Disconnect the battery before any work on the internal ribbon cables.
Once the tray is fitted, check that it slides in without forcing and sits properly aligned with the frame. Insert a test SIM card, turn the device back on and check that the network is detected. Avoid bending the tray or forcing its lug, which is fragile.
