Description
The SIM tray is the small metal part that holds the SIM card and keeps it in place inside the phone. When it is broken, bent or worn, the card may not connect properly or the tray no longer closes correctly. This part, compatible with the Google Pixel 4, lets you replace the current part without touching the rest of the device.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the case. Use the ejection tool to take the tray out gently, without forcing it, then transfer the SIM card to the new tray. Disconnect the battery before any work near the ribbon cables, and work in a clean, dry place, avoiding static electricity.
Once the tray is fitted, check that it slides in without resistance and stays firmly in place. Switch the phone back on and check that the SIM card is recognised. If the part shows a fault or you notice abnormal heat, stop the operation and do not use the device.
