Description
The SIM tray is the small tray that holds your phone's SIM card. It slides into its side slot and is removed with the ejection tool supplied with smartphones. This part, compatible with the Google Pixel 4a 5G, replaces a broken, bent or jammed tray that prevents the SIM card from ejecting or sitting properly, which often results in no network signal.
Before fitting, switch off the phone, remove the case and work on a clean, dry surface. Avoid static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling components. Never force the old tray out and do not apply any pressure to the battery. If the battery is swollen, stop using it. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and keep heat moderate if you need to loosen an adhesive.
Once the part is fitted, insert the SIM card and check that it sits correctly. The tray should slide into its slot without effort and close neatly. Switch the phone back on and check that the network is detected before closing the case for good.
