Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and the microSD card and inserts them into the phone. This compatible tray is designed to replace the one in the Pixel 5 when it is broken, bent, stuck or when its ejection no longer works properly. It restores normal access to the cards without having to replace the entire phone.
Before you start, switch off the Pixel 5 and keep it away from any heat source. Use a suitable ejector pin to release the current tray, then check that the sealing gasket is in good condition. Work on a clean, flat surface, protected from static electricity, and disconnect the battery before handling any internal ribbon cables.
After fitting, check that the tray slides without force, that the cards are held securely and that the phone correctly detects the SIM card. Never force the insertion and do not drill or bend any component. If the battery appears swollen, stop using the device.

- Switch the phone off before removing the current SIM tray.
- Check the sealing gasket and replace it if necessary.
- Never force the tray when inserting it.
- Test SIM card detection after fitting.
- Never drill or bend the battery; a swollen battery must no longer be used.
