Description
The SIM tray is the small holder that takes the SIM card and, depending on the configuration, a microSD card. It slides into the side of the phone and makes contact between the card and the network module. This part is usually replaced when the tray is broken, bent, no longer opens properly or the card is no longer detected. This compatible part is intended for the Google Pixel 8 Pro.
Before you start, switch the phone off and work on a clean, flat surface. Use a suitable ejection tool and never force the tray. Avoid strong heat sources and discharge static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
After fitting, check that the tray slides without play and that the SIM card is correctly recognised. If you need to work near the battery, disconnect it before handling any ribbon cable. A lithium battery must never be pierced or bent, and a swollen battery must no longer be used.
