Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and lets you insert or remove it from the phone. Over time it can bend, crack or no longer lock properly, which stops the card from being recognised correctly. This compatible tray is designed to replace the current part of a Google Pixel 8a and restore clean access to the SIM card.
For fitting, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace with a small tool suited to opening the tray. Switch the phone off before any handling and gently warm the edges if needed, without excessive heat. Check that the new part fits without forcing it before fixing it in place.
After replacement, insert the SIM card, switch the device back on and check that the network is detected correctly. If the tray does not click into place properly, remove it and realign it rather than forcing it. Keep static electricity away by avoiding working on a synthetic mat.
