Description
This compatible SIM tray replaces the holder that takes the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card on the Pixel 9. It is used to replace a tray that is broken, bent, stuck or whose seal no longer holds, which can prevent the card from being detected or let in dust and moisture.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the SIM card. Use a suitable ejection pin to open the slot, without forcing it. Compare the current part with the new tray to check the shapes and positions. Work on a clean surface and avoid static electricity by touching a metal ground before handling the components.
Once the tray is back in place, insert the SIM card, switch the phone back on and check that the network is detected. Also make sure the tray closes without play and that the seal is correct. If the tray is still difficult to insert, stop and re-examine the assembly rather than forcing it.
