Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and lets you insert it into the phone. On a Pixel XL it can break, jam or stop opening properly after repeated handling. Replacing it gives you simple and reliable access to your SIM card without touching the rest of the device.
This version is a compatible part made by a third party, intended for you to repair your Pixel XL yourself. Before you start, switch the phone off completely, remove the SIM card and prepare a suitable ejection tool and a clean, well-lit workspace. Avoid any heavy force on the chassis.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in without forcing, stays properly aligned with the phone body and that the SIM card is recognised after restarting. If in doubt or if there is any abnormal play, reinsert the tray to check its position before closing it for good.
