Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, on some models, the memory card. It slides into its slot on the side of the phone. When it is worn, broken or bent, the card may sit badly, no longer be recognised, or the tray may no longer click into place properly. This compatible part for the Poco M5 replaces the current tray and restores clean access to the SIM card.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and remove the SIM card and the memory card. Use a suitable ejection tool to release the old tray, without forcing it and without bending the chassis. Compare the two trays to check the shape, the notches and the position of the contacts before inserting the new one. Handle the part carefully to avoid electrostatic discharge.
After refitting, check that the tray clicks in without play and that the SIM card is held securely. Switch the phone back on and check network detection. If the battery was disconnected, do not puncture or bend it, and never use a swollen battery.
