Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the microSD card. It slides into a side slot on the phone. When it is damaged, bent or broken, the card no longer sits properly, the phone fails to detect it, or the tray jams every time you try to open it. This tray, compatible with the Poco M7 4G, replaces the current part so that your cards insert and eject normally again.
Before you start, switch the phone off and use the eject tool supplied with your device or a straightened paperclip. Press gently, without forcing it, to push the old tray out. Work on a flat, clean surface and avoid excessive heat. Protect the components from static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling them.
Once the tray is replaced, check that it slides without resistance and that the SIM card is recognised by the phone. Also make sure the tray closes properly, with no play or misalignment. If the slot is hard to close, do not force it; start the assembly again from the beginning.
Tips
- Switch the phone off before removing the SIM tray.
- Use a fine eject tool to avoid scratching the chassis.
- Do not force the tray: it should slide smoothly.
- Check that the SIM card is recognised after reassembly.
