Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the microSD card. It slides into a slot on the side of the device, allowing you to insert or remove these cards without opening the phone. Over time it can warp, crack or jam, which stops the card from sitting properly or makes it hard to take out. This tray, compatible with the Poco M8 Pro 5G, lets you replace a faulty part.
Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and place it on a flat, clean surface. Use a suitable ejector tool and press gently, without forcing, to remove the old tray. When fitting, check that the new tray sits properly in its housing and stays aligned with the body of the device. Avoid excessive heat and discharge static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
Once the tray is back in place, check that it slides without resistance and that the SIM card is held securely. Turn the phone back on and check mobile network detection and card reading. If the device does not detect the card or the tray stays stuck, stop the procedure and do not force it.
