Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into its slot on the side of the device. When it is damaged, bent or broken, the card may not sit properly, the phone may no longer detect the network, or the tray may jam when inserted. This compatible part for Q6 (2017) replaces the current part and restores normal use of the SIM card.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and remove the case. Use a needle or the ejection tool supplied with the device to open the slot, without forcing it. Compare the new part with the old one: the shape, the notches and the position of the contacts must match. Avoid touching the gold contacts with your fingers, and protect yourself from static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling.
Once the tray is refitted, insert the SIM card and check that it locks in place without play. Switch the phone back on and check network detection and reading of the card. If the device becomes unusually hot or the tray stays stuck, stop the operation and never force it.
