Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into the side slot of the phone. When it is broken, bent or worn, it can stop the card from sitting properly, cause loss of signal or block ejection.
This compatible part for Realme 8i replaces the current tray. It is made by a third party and aims to restore normal use of the SIM slot. First check that you have the reference matching your model, then switch off the phone and remove the battery if it is removable; on this model, a suitable screwdriver and some patience are enough for a careful disassembly.
After replacement, insert the SIM card into the tray outside the phone to check that it fits without forcing. Then check that the tray slides out and back in without play, and test the network and the card recognition. Never force the slot with a sharp object.
