Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card, then slides into the slot on the side of the phone. For the Realme C71, this compatible part is used to replace a tray that is broken, bent, stuck or no longer closing properly. A common fault is a tray that no longer stays in place, no longer recognises the SIM card, or whose ejection hole has become deformed.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the case. Use an ejector needle to take out the old tray without forcing it, and note the orientation of the card before removing it. Handle the part with care to avoid electrostatic discharge, and avoid excessive heat during the procedure.
Once the new tray is fitted, check that it slides in without resistance, sits flush with the case and that the SIM card is recognised after restarting. If the tray rubs or does not lock in place, refit it rather than forcing it.
