Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card. It slides into the side of the phone and lets you insert or remove your cards without opening the device. When it is broken, bent or stuck, the card no longer stays in place, the phone no longer detects the network, or the tray refuses to click in properly. This compatible tray is designed to replace the current part of the Redmi 12 in these cases.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the case. Use a pin or an ejection tool to release the old tray, pressing gently and without forcing it against the chassis. Avoid any contact with electronic components and discharge static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the part.
Once the tray is fitted, check that it slides smoothly and that the SIM card is held securely. Turn the phone back on and check network detection as well as card reading. If the phone has a battery, never puncture or bend it, and stop using any device whose battery is swollen.
