Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, on some models, the memory card. On a Redmi 8, it can break or warp, making the card hard to insert or remove, or preventing the phone from reading it properly. This compatible part replaces the damaged tray so you can get normal use of your SIM card back.
Before you start, switch the smartphone off completely and remove the case. Use a needle or an ejection tool to take out the old tray, without forcing the frame. Check that the new part clicks properly into its slot and is correctly aligned before powering the phone back on. Work on a clean, flat surface and protect your components from static electricity by avoiding unnecessary contact with the contacts.
Once assembly is complete, insert a SIM card and check that the phone detects it. Test inserting and removing it several times to make sure the mechanism slides without resistance. If the card does not sit properly, stop and check the alignment before applying any force.
