Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card. It slides into the side of the phone and must stay firmly in place for the network to work properly. This compatible part replaces the tray of your Redmi 9 when it is broken, bent, stuck or no longer slides out cleanly.
The most common faults are a tray that no longer fits in, a SIM card that is not detected, or a tray that wobbles or jams during use. Replacing the tray restores a stable hold and good contact with the card. It is a simple mechanical part, but fitting it requires precision.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the case and the SIM card. Work on a flat, clean surface and avoid static electricity by regularly touching an earthed metal surface. After fitting, check that the tray opens and closes without forcing, then test SIM card detection before putting the case back on.
