Description
The SIM tray is the small component that holds the SIM card and, in some cases, the microSD card. It slides into the side slot of the phone and must stay firmly in place for the network and storage to work properly. This part, compatible with the Redmi A1 Plus, replaces the tray when it is bent, broken, no longer clicks into place or no longer recognises the SIM card.
Before you begin, switch off the smartphone and remove the protective case. Use the eject tool to take out the old tray without forcing it and note how it was fitted. Keep the phone away from any heat source and protect it from static electricity by touching an earthed metal object before handling the components.
Once the new tray is inserted, check that it slides without play and that the SIM card is held securely. Turn the device back on and check network detection as well as microSD card detection. If the current part shows signs of corrosion or debris, clean the slot before fitting the new part.
