Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic piece that holds the SIM card and, sometimes, the microSD card. It slides into the side slot of the phone and must sit straight so that the contacts connect properly. When it is bent, broken, stuck or lost, the phone no longer detects the SIM card or refuses to open normally. This model is a compatible part for the Redmi Note 10s, made by a third party, and it lets you replace the current tray without touching the rest of the device.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and prepare a pin or a suitable ejection tool. Work on a flat, clean, well-lit surface and keep small screws or parts in a container. Avoid applying excessive force to the slot and protect the screen with a soft cloth. If the battery looks swollen or damaged, do not intervene and do not puncture or bend it.
After fitting, check that the tray slides without friction and that the SIM card is correctly in place. Restart the phone to check network detection and, if needed, test the microSD card too. A compatible part may show slight differences in finish: if anything seems abnormal, stop using the phone and disconnect the power supply.
