Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and the microSD card and connects them to the phone. On the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, it can crack, bend or get stuck, which stops the card from being read, makes ejection difficult or leaves the tray misaligned.
This part is a compatible type, made by a third party. It follows the shape and function of the compatible part intended to replace the current one. It fits without soldering, but requires patience to align the tray properly in its slot.
Before you start, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if your model allows it, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, protected from static electricity. After fitting, check that the tray slides without forcing, that the SIM card is detected and that the phone starts up normally.
Tips
- Switch off the phone before any disassembly
- Work on a clean surface free from static electricity
- Never force the tray into its slot
- Check that the SIM card is recognised after fitting
- Use a suitable tool to avoid scratching the chassis
Fitting
